There’s nothing like gliding over the water in a sleek rowing shell and if you live in the midcoast area, Merrymeeting Community Rowing Association (a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization) is your connection to coaches, equipment and other rowers. We are focused on providing instruction in the sport of both sweep rowing and sculling to youths and adults.
MCRA has a facility at the Water Street boat ramp in Brunswick. Our growing fleet consists of coxed fours, doubles and single sculls. We also offer rack space for singles. Our site on the Androscoggin River offers about 3000m of excellent water alongside the walking path, and good access to Merrymeeting Bay. Many say this is the best spot to row in Maine.
MCRA furthers the sport of rowing in the greater Brunswick area through focused coached instruction that spans the experience spectrum from Learn-to-Row and Novice to Experienced Programs. Our coaches hail from local universities and schools, our rowers are members of the community ranging from 14 to 80 — just like you. Come Row with Us!
