The Best way to Learn
All MCRA participants will be expected to take part in work parties, meeting, and equipment maintenance. As there is always someone who knows less than you, sharing your rowing experience by coxing, heading up an event, maintaining the facility, or just helping out is expected.
For Learn-to-Row and Novice Program graduates to be considered a “Rower,” MCRA requires you to ride as a cox’n. The idea is to give you an idea of what to expect in a pick-up or Coached Sweeps boat, and the boat will be happy to have a cox’n. No experience necessary!
Please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Anna Jordan by email firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule your ride.
